 Acid Resistant Valves
Materials
Tantaline acid resistant valves are supplied by leading valve manufactures like Flowserve, Kits, Meca Inox and Uni, who are known for their high quality and reliable valves. These OEM valves are usually made from standard steel substrates and are then treated in the Tantaline process to provide an acid resistance that far exceeds that of Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, titanium, zirconium in most hot acid corrosive environements.
Performance
Tantaline acid resistant valves are inert to almost any acid including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and nitric acid at temperatures as high as 350°C - Temperatures where special alloy or PTFE or PFA lined valves may fail due to acid attack, thermal failure or high pressures. Since the tantalum surface is alloy bonded, Tantaline Valves are also very suitable for vacuum applications.
Applications
Tantaline is an positioned to be a replacement for nickel alloy valve, titanium valves and zirconium valves offering higher performace at a reduced costs. Within the chemical process industry Tantaline Valves have proven to be extremely valuable and reliable in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid handling as well a bromine and chlorine processing. Within petrochemical applications Tantaline Valves are unique, since their performance is unaffected by hydrogen sulfide (H 2S) or methanol.
